Introduction and data collection
PaperFlip Translate is designed for secure PDF translation workflows. We collect only the information required to authenticate users, process uploaded files, return translated outputs, and keep the product stable.
Account metadata
Email address, display name, avatar, authentication provider metadata, and session identifiers used to manage account access.
Document data
Uploaded PDF files, selected source and target languages, translation job metadata, and generated translated documents.
How we use your data
Your data is used to deliver document translation, maintain authenticated access, enforce quota and workflow rules, and diagnose product issues. We do not use your files for unrelated marketing or product upsell flows inside the protected workspace.
- Service delivery: exchange Firebase identity for a backend session, upload files to storage, submit translation jobs, poll job progress, and return translated files.
- Operational support: analyze technical logs and job metadata to investigate failures, quota issues, and delivery regressions.
Data security and controlled access
Authentication relies on Firebase sign-in plus a separate backend bearer session exchange. Protected API requests are allowed only after both layers succeed. Uploaded files and translated outputs are served through signed URLs and access-controlled storage paths.
Retention and deletion
Translation inputs and outputs are retained only for the operational window required by the product and any storage lifecycle configured by the service. Signed download links are time-limited and expire automatically.
When retention rules or manual cleanup remove a file, the previous signed URL will no longer provide access.
Your rights and controls
Access
Request information about your account profile, translation history, and the categories of stored data associated with your use of the product.
Deletion
Request account closure or deletion workflows when supported by your deployment and internal operating policies.
Correction
Update profile information through supported sign-in providers or contact support when the stored account information is inaccurate.
